NOIR SIGNS is a British design-led signage studio creating refined signs for spaces where every detail matters.

Born as the sister company of NOIR.DESIGN, our roots are in craftsmanship, material and considered design. NOIR.DESIGN began with a simple approach: create beautifully made objects that are functional, timeless and built to last. As our work developed, signage became a natural extension of that philosophy.

We saw an opportunity to approach signs differently.

Too often, signage is treated as an afterthought — something added to a space once everything else has been designed. We believe it should be part of the design from the beginning.

NOIR SIGNS was created to change that.

From offices, cafés and restaurants to hotels, studios, retail spaces and private interiors, we create signage designed to complement the architecture, interior and identity of the space around it.

Materials Matter

Our approach starts with the material.

Drawing on the craftsmanship behind NOIR.DESIGN, we work with carefully selected materials including solid hardwoods such as American black walnut, European oak and ash, alongside premium acrylics, metals and contemporary architectural finishes.

Depending on the design and material, our signs are precision cut, engraved, machined and carefully finished to create clean edges, considered proportions and a refined final product.

We favour materials with substance, texture and longevity — signs that feel as good in the hand as they look on the wall.
